Like VOGUE, this one started simple enough and then I almost instantly lost the plot and it became something I truly don’t understand.
More an amalgam of leftovers on the mood board than a cohesive story for a short but a lot of writers tend to believe their best work comes when they don’t understand it themselves. I respectfully disagree but perhaps you’ll disagree with me?
I basically wanted something to commemorate that infection in my mouth that inspired me to share more of this sausage-making. Mouth pain is something different, dog, let me tell you. I have never experienced pain like that before, there’s no getting away from it, it’s with you all the time.
I also thought the opening shot from inside the mouth would be cool. And then I had nothing and was grasping at straws until I was like, “This seems like a good place to stop.”
Here’s what I want to know before draft 2:
What the fuck is this one about?
Am I right in thinking that we need more clear motive for Ruben?
What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done? I need montage inspo!
